Nigeria has over 200 Trillion cubic feet of gas reserves. Natural gas plays a key part in our strategy to be active in the transformation of the African energy space. It is the lowest-carbon hydrocarbon, it is also odourless, colourless and non-toxic. It is a key transition energy thanks to its flexibility and capacity for responding to the strong growth in demand and because it releases half the greenhouse gas emissions of coal in power generation. It allows for the ramp up of renewables and provides sustainable fuels in the mobility sector (natural gas for vehicles, marine LNG, etc.).
